What Is Computer Addiction
Obsessive use of computer or dependency is known as Computer Addiction. People can be addicted to computers and suffer withdrawal symptoms. There are also examples of obsessive recreational users dating back to the first release of computer games from various company such as Nintendo and Sega. Kids usually fall for this kind of addiction where they would rather play “Adventures of Mario” at home than play baseball with their friends, skip meals and sleep late. Mostly kids at a very young age are wearing Plastic Reading Glasses due to excessive use of computers resulting to a severe eye strain and a blurred vision.
As the internet became a viable medium for communication people became more and more addicted to the extent that they would rather do things online than offline such as dating. At this time i had my plastic eyeglasses replaced with a Metal Reading Glasses because of the tendency that my previous glasses breaks easily.
Computer addiction gradually withdraws people into an unreal which changes a person emotionally and socially. Constant computer gaming can cause someone to place more emotional attachment on the computer than their real life. Excessive viewing of internet pornography can change a person’s view on sexuality.
Over the long term, computer addiction can cause physical damage. Late-night computer sessions cutting sleep time, Long-term sleep deprivation causes drowsiness, difficulty concentrating, and depression of the immune system leading to an unhealthy lifestyle. Someone who spends hours at a computer is obviously not getting any meaningful exercise, so computer addiction can indirectly lead to poor eyesight which leads to users wearing Large Reading Glasses overall poor physical condition and even obesity.
Eventually, the consequences of computer addiction will ripple through the user’s life. Affecting job performance and their relationship to their family and friends.
