If you choose to take your holiday at a lodge that features fishing ponds, you still may be able to enjoy that fishing vacation you’ve wanted to take, while allowing the rest of the family to stay at a place that has electricity and at least a few creature comforts. If you’ve got a clean fish pond to relax and fish in and the family is content not to stay in some luxury hotel and do touristy things in the city, then this lodge vacation could make everyone happy.
The opportunity to vacation at such a lodge is available all over the country, in mountains, valleys and forests in virtually every state, and fishing ponds are frequently among the enticements offered to potential customers. The ponds are often stocked with many types of fish, and usually the lodge provides all the equipment needed to fish them. Ponds on private property at the lodges themselves wouldn’t require an individual to have a license, but bodies of water outside lodge property are subject to federal regulations.
