The popularity of miniature bamboo is on the rise given it’s qualities to enhance either an outdoor garden setting or as an indoor plant.

The miniature bamboo plant, known as Pogonatherum is part of the Poaceae family and is very popular in South East Asia. Regular leaf trimming is desirable for indoor miniature bamboo. Don’t be concerned too much if the leaves begin to dry. Prune back the plant to 4-6 inches to encourage rejuvenation.

We love our present home, but it is over a hundred years old. The master suite is in the upper level of the home and the laundry is in the basement. We know that as we age we are not going to be able to comfortably climb all the stairs that we are now. I’ve heard countless stories from my father and grandfather about how everyone used to build things from scratch. To this day I’m not sure if folks truly used to do this, or if the men in my family are exaggerating simply because they did it. Anyway, you can imagine all the things I heard growing up. Credit card companies have been making a killing as of late. In 2006 the credit card industry made 17 billion dollars off of just penalty fees alone.
